I’m in a carb induced haze right now. No, seriously, I’m about to fall asleep after inhaling my last supper of Chik-Fil-A Number 1, my fav go-to fattie meal. You didn’t think I was heading out into the carb-less dessert without a proper send-off, right? Didn’t think so. So much for the workout I did tonight. I have a feeling even though I kicked my booty from here to the corner that it only shaved off a few of the fries I jammed down my throat afterwords. I’ve been reading Carrots ‘n’ Cake for a few months now, and she always has great ideas and recommendations for workouts. I attempted a treadmill workout she posted earlier today, but had to modify it ahead of time since home girl is more of a tortoise than a hare. I was only going for 3 miles AND I’m closer to about a 10 minute mile on the treadmill right now, so this is what I did: 0:00-5:00 - 5.8 MPH 5:00-6:00- 6.4 MPH 6:00-10:00- 6.0 MPH 10:00-12:00- 6.5 MPH 12:00-15:00 - 6.0 MPH 15:00-17:00-6.5 MPH 17:00-20:00- 6.0 MPH 20:00-23:00- 6.6 MPH 23:00-25:00- 6.0 MPH 25:00-29:00- 6.7 MPH COOLDOWN Whew! I’ve been trying to incorporate more “speedwork” into my work week runs since I’m only running 3x a week to prepare for the half in March. Kills me to try and run fast, but hopefully it will mean good things in the end. Plus, this workout sure did beat the treadmill boredom I’ve been having recently!! On the wagon tomorrow. Trying real hard to not fall off!!!!
