Failure..and more pizza!

I tried to make chickpea bread yesterday. The recipe looked like it would produce great results—sadly, it did not.

I can’t really describe it? A mix between weird sponge bread and what bread is supposed to taste like? After a few bites to confirm that yes it was in fact crap and it all went into the trash. Oh well. I haven’t really been craving bread anyway so it’s not really any skin off my back.

What I HAVE been craving is pizza. Last week’s portabella mushroom pizzas were all sorts of awesome, but I found another recipe on Pinterest I wanted to try. This recipe is definitely a little heavier and greasier than the mushroom pizzas, but taste a little more like real pizza to me. The BF liked these better, I like the mushroom ones better—but the good news is that if the craving strikes I now have two recipes to tide me over!

No Carb Pizza (from Accidental Mommies):

Crust:
1 package fat free cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 eggs
Pepper
1/4 cup fresh parmesan cheese

Pizza:
1/2 cup spaghetti sauce
1 cup low fat mozzarella cheese
Toppings of choice (I used sausage and sauteed mushrooms)

To Assemble:
1. Mix together cream cheese and eggs until smooth. Add in other ingredients and beat until smooth again.
2. Pam a 9 x 13 baking pan and pour in batter.
3. In a preheated oven (350), bake crust for 17-20 minutes, or until edges are brown.
4. Let the crust sit for at least 10 minutes so it firms up a little more
5. After crust has rested, proceed to build your pizza like you normally would.
6. Turn oven up to 400 degrees and bake another 8 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.

Enjoy!!!

What’s not to like, right?
