Holy Early Morning…and a Weigh In

When my alarm went off at 5:03 this morning, I really thought it was part of my dream. Nope, I thought as I groaned and rolled out of bed, I signed up for a 6 am installment of Bar Method.

Why in the world you ask? Good question. I think mainly because I’ve been seeing lots of inspirational quotes on Pinterest and I’ve been thinking hard about true athletes—they don’t let their schedules get in the way of making sure they work out. I’m pretty prone to using my schedule as a crutch—I needed to be at work today by 8 and I’m interviewing potential new W&L students tonight so the only option was the 6 am class.

It wasn’t so terrible-and I rewarded myself with a skinny latte from Starbucks after :)

I also had to weigh in this morning before going. I’m down another pound, which brings the total to 7 pounds! Like I said last week, I was a little disappointed at first just because last week’s loss was so big, but putting it into perspective it’s still awesome.

A pound a week will put me at my minimum goal of 15 pounds gone in another 8 weeks-just in time for my family’s trip up for the Half Marathon! Sexy shots of me running, coming right up!

What do you do to get past the excuses for working out?
