I ran six miles this morning before work….so I rewarded myself with a skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks. Best nutrition decision? Debatable. But leaps and bounds ahead of how I used to reward myself with food for being “good” for a day. I’ve since come a long way and realize if I’m going to reward myself with food it needs to be appropriate— so I built the skinny vanilla latte into my calories for the day, not on top of them. I was reminded of this on Pinterest the other day:

SO true. I’ve always been a goal setter, but also a reward wanter. For every accomplishment I want to be recognized for it-whether it be awards at work or something personal for myself. It’s time to set some real rewards for this weight loss gig so that I can know that I’ve reached certain milestones.
Here’s what I’ve come up with so far:
10 lbs- facial (good lord, my blackheads are out of control. TMI, but for realz, I need them gone ASAP)
15 lbs- full new outfit from Lululemon. I’ll probably have to barter for my first born child to afford socks, pants, sports bra, top but it’ll be worth it.
Every pound = $100 toward a shopping trip, but I’m not going to go major shopping until I hit that 15 mark. Helllloooooo new summer clothes.
What goals and rewards do you set for yourself?
