Sorry BF it’s not you (kidding, but this love is different).

I’m talking about my Soda Stream. If you’re unfamiliar, check out this figure:

Just beautiful. I’ve been a huge fan of sparkling water since my study abroad in Italy but it’s often expensive or not readily accessible. I’ve been lusting over this guy for about a year now, and finally my sister pulled through and got him for me for my birthday this year.

And Y’ALL, I drink it non-stop. That is, until I ran out of CO2 last week. I really thought I was going through withdrawl. You see, it makes dieting easier in my opinion because the bubbles fill me up and I flavor the water sometimes with crystal light, so it tastes sweet. The first two weeks of South Beach I would drink one of these with crystal light at night if I was still craving a sweet after my fudge bar.

My initial investment was nothing since it was a gift, but these run about $90-$130 depending on which model you get. I’m pretty sure mine is the basic model and I can’t imagine what another $40 would get me that would be worth it, and on the original CO2 I’m guessing I was able to get about 60 bottles worth—so about $1.50 a liter? Maybe that’s high. No clue. But it felt like a TON.

Anyway, ramble I know, BUT I refilled the CO2 yesterday and now am re-united with my love and so much happier :)
